Rubbernecker Design Team Announcement and Week in Review

Rubbernecker announced the addition of several wonderful new team members earlier this month. Just when I thought our team couldn’t get any better we are announcing the addition of one more member.  Cindy Motherway, better known to the stamping community as Mothermark and the founder and host of the SCS Teapot Tuesday Challenge will be joining our team.  It is with pleasure that I welcome Cindy to our team.

I didn’t get many chances to stamp this past week so I have a small week in review today. Both projects were made with Rubbernecker images and provided lots of fun and relaxation for me.

I have really enjoyed taking part in Cindy’s Teapot Tuesday Challenge the last few weeks.  The story line for the challenge involved pampering, hair salons and gossip so I pulled out two fun images from the Rubbernecker Cartoon Collection-Day at the Spa and Did you Hear?.

I stamped both the images on watercolor paper, watercolored with a brush and reinkers and cut out.  I popped the images up on a pretty piece of designer paper that allowed the bright colors to pop.  Can’t you just hear all the gossip?

My second project is a card I made to give to my husband for our 12th anniversary which we celebrate today. I used the Side Steppin’ card fold to create a fun base for my Rubbernecker Dalmatian lovers that are found in the Dog Collection. 

I stamped all the images on plain white cardstock with black craft ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I added the few touches of color with markers and cut them out to attach to the base.  I used the dog themed background from the same Dog Collection to stamp the black card base using white craft ink and white embossing powder.  Aren’t the perfect couple?
