Stamping Fun and a SALE!!!!!!!!!

Check out my Stamp and Accessories Sale!!!

I hope you had a wonderful Easter holiday weekend.  It is always wonderful to have an extra day off from work for a three day weekend.

The SCS Ways to Use It challenge on SCS Thursday was to use a sweet child image in our project.  Stampavie has the most wonderful children images and I love all of their lines.  I chose to work with Gillian Roberts Looking at You image for my project.

KC Gillian Roberts Looking at You

I stamped the image on watercolor paper, painted and then cut around it with a craft knife and snips. I filled in the scenery by hand painting the trees with brushes and creating the scene with sponges and brushes. I used mounting tape to mount to the front layer of the card.

My husband had to work on Easter Sunday so I spent some time playing with the newly released Rubbernecker Floral and Weeds collections. These projects were simple and fast and it only took me a couple of hours to put them together.

I put ink on the silhouette stamps with markers, misted and stamped on cardstock and then I heat set the image.  I  used a brush to lightly add texture and definition to the flowers and leaves by applying darker colors of reinkers.  You may think this is a difficult process but it is really very quick and simple. Use a small damp brush dipped lightly in reinker and place shading and smudged lines to your petals and your flower pop to life.

I hope you all have a great week and that you have time for some fun stamping.

  4. Just taking a second to say “Wow!” I have such trouble with flowers and you always make it look SO easy! Mine end up looking tangled and out of position. Yeah, do this again sometime and show how you decide to position! Love you!
