Hi everyone! Time is marching on so quickly and Christmas will be here before we know it. I have been dedicating my stamping time to Christmas cards lately so I can avoid the terrible crushing rush during the holiday season. I have been enjoying all of the new images from the Stampavie Christmas 2010 Release. Today I am sharing a fun project using A Pile Of Penguins from the Laurence Design collection.
I stamped the image on watercolor paper with black craft ink, heat set and then watercolored using a brush and reinker mixed with water. I carefully cut the penguins out using snips and a craft knife so I could pop the image up on the main layer. I punched several evergreen sprigs out of the green designer paper and attached using Glossy Accents placing them in between and around the penguins to create a Christmas tree image. The three tiny bows were the perfect simple embellishment to finish this project.
I hope you all have a fun weekend and hopefully you will have the time to start working on your holiday cards.
What a clever card! I love the addition of the tree branches ~ very inspirational (as usual!) TFS!
