I have gone punched flower crazy lately. Have you noticed? I am having so much fun with flower and foliage punches and seem to want to put them on everything I make. Today’s project is no exception. I made this card for the Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge and uses lots more layers than I usually use. I pulled out one of my all time favorite Stampin’ Up sets to play with. I love creating little freehand scenes around images and the little girl I chose is so precious. She reminds me of a storybook character.
I stamped the image, painted and cut out. I sketched in the tree trunk and branches with an artist pen and then sponged in the little scene. I finished off the ground area and treetop using the mini fern stamp from my Outdoor Master. The finishing touch to the scene was to sponge in a light yellow for the sky area. I added lots of punched foliage and flowers to the corner of the frame for embellishment. I love all the heart punched layers even though it is way over the top for my normal style.
We are on the downhill side of the week and I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend. Have a great day.

This is so pretty!! And as for being “punched flower crazy”… hey… when you’ve got a winner you’ve got to go with it! As you know, I think your little “arrangements” are just lovely.
