The Splitcoaststampers Ways to Use It Challenge this week was to make a card using some kind of doily. I have some dies that may have passed for a doily but decided to go straight to my kitchen and pull out a plain old kitchen type of doily that I use when making holiday fudge and cookie gifts. It made a fast and easy background for my soft plum nosegay.
I embossed the cardstock to add texture to my flowers and then punched them out using a Martha Stewart flower punch. I crimped the green paper before punching out the foliage to add texture and dimension. I cut strips of green to add stems to the nosegay. You can check out my punched flower tutorial and flower spray tutorial if you want more details on how I made my nosegay.
I am so happy it’s Friday and that I only have to work half a day. I hope you have a wonderful weekend filled with relaxation and some fun stamping time. My fingers will definitely get inky.
