Friend

Happy Monday!  I hope you had a great weekend.  I was able to rest and had some fun stamping time.  I can share two projects with you today that I did playing in the Splitcoaststampers challenges and some I will share during the week.

My first project is a sweet friend card using Rubbernecker’s  Bouquet with Bow image. I made this for a challenge on layering color.  I got a little carried away with some white accents but I still like the outcome.

I stamped the image with black versafine and then painted using reinkers mixed with water.  I added little white accents (trying something new) using a white marker.  The sentiment is Friend to Friend  and I just inked off one word for the heart tag.  I used a Sizzix heart die for the tag and used mini scalloped scissors to cut the scalloped background for the heart. The background layer was made using the Martha Stewart Double Heart Punch around the Page set,  The round heart layer was made using Spellbinders Heart circles. I added the tiny punched flowers and foliage to the heart tag for a perfect finishing touch. Here’s another view.

Check out my Kittie’s Korner on the Rubbernecker Blog  today if you would like to see a tutorial on how I created my Little Red Barn scene from last week’s project. I took pictures of each step to show how simple and easy it is. Here is the finished card for my second Little Red Barn.  Feel free to come on over.
