Holly and Pine Wreath

I had fun today playing with my Martha Stewart holly punch.  I have wanted to try making a wreath with the foliage but wasn’t quite sure how it would turn out.  When I was finished applying all the holly foliage I knew I had to add springs of the pine branch punch to soften it. I really like how it turned out.

I created a circle for the base of the wreath using Nestabilities dies.  I applied the leaves with Glossy Accent rotating them from side to side.  I applied sprigs of pine between the holly leaves to soften then applied the little red berries made with the holly punch and covered them with Stickles. Sadly the sparkle doesn’t show well in the photos. I thought the red organdy multi loop bow was the perfect finishing touch. If you would like step by step photos of how I create my wreaths check out my paper floral wreath tutorial. The base of the card was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.  Here are a couple other views.

  1. Gorgeous wreath! I’ve only made wreaths with the pine branches and I could never get the dimension I wanted. After looking at your tutorial for the lovely floral wreath, I will get that dimension now … yah-hoo! THANKS SO MUCH! You have such a sweet, creative soul and this gal appreciates the blessings you bring by so selflessly sharing your creativity with me (us)through this blog. 🙂

  3. Can you tell us what holly punch you used? I see it’s a Martha Stewart punch, but I know she makes a few different holly shapes. One is a single leaf, the other two are stems of leaves.
