Home Sweet Home Birdhouse

Happy Saturday.  I have a very sweet wooden birdhouse to share with you today.KC Wood Birdhouse 4 right

I started by painting the birdhouse with white and green crackle paint.  I love the appearance of the aged paint that the crackle paint produces. Some of the paint actually flaked off while I was decorating it but I didn’t mind as it added to the aged look.

I created a flower spray on the roof with a few different kinds of die cut and punched foliage and punched flowers.

I attached foliage and flowers to the front and used the perch as the base.  This allowed me to design the foliage out away from the front rather than flat against the front wall. The bird is mounting to the wall.

I attached the picket fence to the base of the birdhouse and then applied the tiny scrolling ivy and flowers.  I love the fence and I think it add such a sweet touch to the creation.

  4. Hi Kittie…I`m so late in posting this comment but after viewing your post again, (told you I was addicted LOL) I just had to tell you this creation just blows my mind 🙂 The vine around the picket fence is adorable, but you added those buds and just made it pop even more. This project is beyond special ♥
