I have fallen in love with the color wash flowers. It is such a simple technique yet adds so much to the appearance of the blossom. The softness of the flower color mixed with the soft embossed background color is a new favorite combination for me. You can check out the Belleek Inspired technique here and my step by step color wash flower tutorial here.
I inked up my brayer with Soft Sky ink and applied it to the embossing folder. I love the soft blue on the vanilla cardstock. I cut a frame using two different Nestabilities dies and attached it to the embossed background using mounting tape.
I punched several flowers, brushed each flower with water and then lightly touched the center of the flower with a brush filled with a touch of reinker. The color runs across the center of the flower and up the petals.
I attached the die cut foliage to the card base with Glossy Accents and then arranged the flowers. I added creamed colored half pearls to the center of each flower for a delicate finish.
I hope your week is going well. I want to thank you for checking in with my post and giving such sweet and supportive comments.

I wouldn`t know what to do with my creative eye if you ever decided to stop blogging, or if you had to skip a day ! Ack! I would be lost & missing all of my Kittie`s flowers 🙂
I also wanted to ask you, even though I`m sure I`m not the first, when are you going to publish these beautiful flower creations? Hopefully, this is something you have stashed in your file of *Things To Do* and you`ll do it soon 🙂
Can`t get enough of these stunners and the use of the brayer with the embossed CS just adds another level of dimension to your card. T F S
Another stunner! That Beleek technique looks beautiful on the card. Yumm. Haven’t been brave enough to put ink on my folders….but looks like I will have to try it. Thanks for your tutorials!
Another beautiful card Kittie. It is just gorgeous. Can you please tell me what brand of ink the soft sky is? I have light blue inkpad but it doesn’t look the same as yours. Thanks in advance Kittie.
I love the soft colourwork on the flower centres. You are amazing with your technique for bending the flowers. They look just like porcelain on this pretty card! Hugs, Lesley

Oh my word – if this isn’t gorgeous then I don’t know what is! A true piece of art work!
Hi Kittie, just wanted to say how much I love your dimensional flower creations, your cards are some of the most beautiful I have seen in a long while. Thank you also for your wonderful tutorials, very informative and inspiring. Oh, and I love how you include pictures of the tools you’ve used, so I know what to add to my shopping list!!
I just LOVE your cards! I can not describe why and what is the most beautiful but I just do 🙂 I wonder how do you make the embossed background the way the embossed elements stay vanilla!? Can you tell me this? If you ink first the whole paper, how comes that the embossing stay not inked? It’s a mystery for me 🙂
