White With Shades Of Blue

The Splitcoaststampers Clean and Simple challenge this week was to create a white project with shades of blue. Here is what I came up with.

KC Martha Stewart Punched Flowers 4 right

I think the Martha Stewart Deco Fan PATP set creates such a delicate punched border. It creates the perfect background for the simple flourish and flowers.  I used the color wash technique to add a touch of blue ink in the center of each white flower. I heat dried and then formed with a stylus on a mat.

I attached the Fanciful Flourish to the punched base layer and then arranged the flowers around it for a delicate design.  Clean, simple yet elegant and soft.

I hope your week is going well so far.  Thanks for all of your supportive comments and for stopping in.

  1. Hi Kittie — see now I stay up `til Midnight just to be one of your first *Stalkers* to see your newest & greatest creation 🙂 What can I say about this beauty that I haven`t said many MANY times before — it`s beyond precious and I always favor your *Colour Wash Technique*.
Now you see what I look forward to daily every midnight …(do you think this makes me pathetic? LOL) then when 6:15am rolls around in the morning, and I`m grumpy and don`t want to get out of bed, I just tell my DH that it`s Kittie`s fault :)))) TFS ♥

  2. Just saw the post above, and I sat here chuckling! I do the same thing, except I don’t have to get up in the morning.
I really do like that color wash technique. Will definitely have to try that.

  3. Kittie, this is so pretty. I haven’t used my PATP punches yet. Guess I need to dust them off soon. This card is so inspiring.

  4. HAHA….I don’t stay up till midnight, but you are one of the first I check in the morning with my cup of coffee in hand. Another beautiful card that someone will be thrill to receive. I have all those punches and never knew marrying them would bring about such a beautiful composition. Can’t wait to try when my last die cut arrives tomorrow.
