Good Saturday morning. I have a lovely card today using the Belleek Inspired technique in a soft aqua. I created a frame using the Spellbinders Blossom Two set and created a flower using the matching set of dies from the Flower Creations Three set.
I brayered ink on the inside of the embossing folder, ran through the Big Shot to emboss and attached to the white card base.
I cut a frame using two different sizes of the Blossom dies, attached mounting tape and attached to the embossed layer.
I cut four flowers using the smaller dies and used the color wash technique to color the white card stock to match the blue embossed layer. I like having the white show through to add life to the petals.
I cut into the center between each section of the flower to create individual petals. I repeated this on all flour flowers.
I turned each flower face down and pushed down on along the petal edges to curl them backwards. I turned the flower over and pushed in around the center of the flower to form.
These flowers don’t look to pretty individually but when put together the distressing makes the whole flower look more alive.
I thought small white pearl center was the perfect touch for the flower.
I finished the card by creating a flower spray with the Leafy Flourish and Rock Fern foliage.
I want to thank all of your who took the time to write me this week to let me know you missed my posts. I appreciate it so much. What a wonderful community of friends we have.
