Swaying Palms and Ocean Waves

Good Tuesday morning. My project today is a fun beach scene made with two new Memory Box dies- Swaying Palm and Oceana Border.

I sponged the clouds in the background using a hand cut cloud template and stamped in a few birds from my Kittie Kits Beach Master. I hand cut the sand out of kraft paper using deckle scissors, sponged lightly with Antique Linen Distress Ink and then stamped using the sand dune image from my Kittie Kits

I cut the waves using Soft Sky cardstock and sponged lightly with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink that I sponged the sky with. I attached the waves to the sand using mounting tape between each layer for dimension. I cut the trees using Chocolate and Spring Moss cardstock and assembled and attached to the sand using glue dots. I added in a few Punch Bunch Fern sprigs at the base of the trees to add a little more interest.

I applied liquid applique to the ocean waves for sea foam, dabbed lightly with my finger and then heat set. I lightly dabbed glossy accents over the waves and foam and sprinkled Diamond Dust glitter over for a beach sparkle. You can click on the photos for a closer view.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a great day.
