Let It Snow Sparkling Snowflakes

Good morning.  Before I get to my post I want to let you know of two wonderful sales.

Impression Obsession is hosting their annual sale.  You can check out the details here.

Ellen Hutson is hosting her Anniversary sale and you can check out the details here.

I have another white on white project to share with you today with a very sparkly snowflake covered with vintage glass glitter.  Let me warn you about glass glitter.  You can get lots of tiny cuts and glass splinters on your fingers if you aren’t very careful but the sparkle and glitz it gives a project is wonderful and worth the effort.  Just work slowly and carefully.

I created the base layers for my project using the Martha Stewart Snowflake PATP set. The snowflake is three layers and are attached to the card base and each other with mounting tape. I covered each of them with glossy accents and dropped them face down into a bowl of glitter and pushed lightly down to get the pieces to adhere to the glue. Glass glitters are larger chunks and pieces than regular powder like glitter.

The sentiment was stamped with versa and embossed with gold embossing powder.  I added lots of the punched snowflakes left from the punching the border. This is so lovely in all white and sadly you cannot see how glorious and sparkly the snowflake is in the photo.

  1. Oooh la la….what a beautiful, lacey card. I love the white on white…the glass glitter really does make it look so elegant. I haven’t used that product before, so I must give it a try. And any tiny cuts caused by it…well, that will give the ink a place to go and reside a little longer….lol Seems I’m always stained with inks no matter how many times I wash my hands…some of it just has to wear off….lol Hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful.
