Blooming Violets

Good Tuesday morning.  I have a see thru window project to share with you today but the main focus is the Blooming Violets along the fence line.

I started by cutting two windows and using one as a template to draw lines on the card base with a pencil and cutting an opening with my kraft knife. I attached the Lacy Curtains to the backside of one of the windows, added mounting tape and attached over the opening on the inside of the card base. I attached the outside window flat over the opening so it wouldn’t interfere with the popped up fence. Using my mega mount I created the inside background using the Impression Obsession Tiny Flowers Cover a Card stamp.

I cut the violet using white cardstock and sponged with dusty concord distress ink. Using white with the purple ink allowed the tiny embossed veins in the flower to show.  I formed the flowers and foliage using my stylus and mat and assembled them using glossy accents.  I attached the Picket Fence under the window with mounting tape and attached the flowers with glossy accents. I created one extra set of flowers  and added the single flowerheads along with some green flower heads to fill for a more natural flower line.  KC Memory Box Blooming Violet 1 right

Check out my see thru window tutorial if you would like to see step by step photos of how I create my open window.

Thanks for stopping by today.

  5. Oh my! This is so lovely. The piercing in the curtains is such a nice touch, and I love the vintage “wallpaper” peeping through the curtains. Those cheery violets blooming outside the window give me hope that spring will surely return!
