Grand Oak Tree, Bike and Flowers

Good Sunday morning.  My project is simple in design but I love it. The grand oak tree is a wonderful die and I thought it would be perfectly paired with the bicycle.

I cut the tree using light green cardstock and colored the trunk and limbs with an antique linen distress marker. I left all the tips of the leaves green and applied lots and lots of tiny flowers made with my flower mound die.  I formed the flowers with my smallest stylus. I applied a few rolled glue dots on the back of the tree and used my ATG to apply adhesive to the tree trunk and attached to the card front.

I cut the bicycle in red and colored the seat, handles, wheels and petal with a black soot distress marker. I cut the basket using kraft cardstock, colored lightly with the antique linen marker and attached a few sprigs of foliage and flowers.  I attached the basket of flowers to the bike frame with glossy accents. I added two sections of fresh cut grass to the base of the card and tucked the wheels of the bike down in the grass.  I tucked in a few more sprigs of foliage around the ground area and finished with a few more tiny flowers.  I love how this turned out.

  2. Thanks Kitty for dressing this grand old tree with tiny flowers, which I always find so cute and nice. I tried again to make these cuties by forming them with my smallest stylus just like what you did, and they turned out just as good as yours. So kind of you sharing your wonderful work. Have a great and blessed holiday.

  4. Hey, Kittie!! I hope your few days off are as relaxing as it looks in your little bike scene. Hope you get time to rest under a tree laden with fragrant blooms or relax along a beach with sea grass gently waving in the breeze! I was wondering how you got your amazing grading of color in your tree; distress markers, who knew?!! How PERFECT!! We are just finishing up with the little details in our building project. Once the electrician comes back and the plumber hooks us up, we will be ready for an occupancy permit. Then, the clear out and move of 22 years of accumulation!!
