Good Thursday morning. Welcome to the Impression Obsession design team challenge. Our challenge today is Sweet Thoughts.
For my project today I used the Sweetheart Cupcake, Sweet Beautiful You, Border Duo 2
My project was fast to make and very clean and simple. I cut both sides of the white layer using the border duo 2 dies, stamped the sentiment and mounted to the card base using mounting tape.
I stamped the cupcake on watercolor paper, painted using a brush and Distress Ink reinkers and cut out to pop up on the punched sentiment border.
I applied liquid applique around the heart decoration to create the look of whipped cream and heated. I wasn’t quite happy with the liquid applique as it was a little too beige looking so I covered it with white opal liquid pearls. I added a tiny dot of the white opal liquid pearls to the center of the heart and finished by adding another tiny red dot of ruby red liquid pearls. I attached the cupcake with mounting tape to give an added level of dimension.
Why don’t you come along and play with us. To enter the challenge go to the Impression Obsession blog (all the details are there!). A random challenge card will be selected to showcase on the IO blog AND you can to enter to win a $25 gift certificate to IO just by playing!
Thanks for coming by today. I hope you will go check out what the other IO teams members created for the challenge.

Very pretty card,love your cupcake…
Love your card and the idea about how to fix the off white Liquid Applique…note to self.
You have such a talent for making a clean and simple card style very impressive and dynamic. While CAS is definitely my style, I never want my cards to be too simple and boring….yours never are. TFS
I’ve been working on my floral arranging on my cards by watching what you do and how you do it, and, I have to say, I made some really pretty ones this past week. Thanks for teaching me something I never thought I could do.
Kittie –

The white eyelet border with the pink seersucker stripe is so classically pretty and really shows off your image.
How darling is this and how clever to add the liquid pearls to the top of your cupcake! Cute card Ms. Kitty!
