Park Bench and Butterflies

Good Thursday morning. My project today was made using the new Madison Park Bench. Since it is such a large image I placed it on a plain white background because I wanted it to be the main focus of the scene. I embellished  with the colorful flowers and butterflies to soften.

I started by cutting the bench with black cardstock, applying versa to it and then embossing with black embossing powder. I cut a the fresh cut grass and attached both pieces to the base. I tucked the bench legs in between the grass layers and attached with mounting tape to add dimension.

hint:  use a wide enough strip of cardstock when cutting thee fresh cut grass die and place the die in the center to create two strips of grass,  The portion left after the cut is reversed and makes a great natural look when the two are placed together. KC Poppy Stamps Madison Park Bench 2 center

I cut the flowers and butterflies in three different colors, formed the flowers with my stylus and mat and attached to the scene with glossy accents and rolled glue dots for the finishing touch.

  1. Your attention to detail just blows me away. I do not have a die cut machine but I’m enjoying one through you and your creations. I just look at your designs and feel so peaceful….just thought you might like to know.

  5. Yet another lovely card Kitty. I really want that bench now. I’ve already bought lots of dies having been inspired by you and your creations. I read a tip the other day somewhere, before die cutting your card, stick a piece of clear packing tape to it then when you die cut it, it looks shiny and embossed with neat edges.
