Good Sunday morning. My project today was made for the Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge and Windsor was our inspiration site. . I was inspired by all the colorful flowers in the sundress shown below. They looked like a flower garden to me.
Here’s what I came up with. I cut the tree using white cardstock and colored it with a few green and brown Copic markers. For those of you who have known me a long while you know that I always favor watercoloring and that I am absolutely Copic challenged. LOL! A lovely friend gave me the Copic 25th Anniversary Set as a gift recently and I decided I’d better start using them. I cut the garden pots using rust cardstock and shaded them with a dark brown marker and the blender pen.
I attached lots of punched branch foliage to each of the pots and added different colored tiny flowers. I cut the garden tools and applied versa and gold embossing powder and heated. I scuffed up the gold powder when it was hot to give the tools an aged look. I cut grasses to create the border of the scene.
I attached the clouds and the oak to the card base with mounting tape. I applied two layers of grass to the card base using ATG adhesive and tucked a few taller grass sprigs in behind for interest. I attached the individual flower pots and tools in place behind the grass with mounting tape. Here’s a closer look. I think they are so cute. I wish my yard was this pretty.
I finished by adding a few butterflies to the scene for another element of color and softness.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you are enjoying a relaxing weekend.

This is so pretty I just want to cry!!!! I am staring at every single little teeny weeny detail and I feel like, well, IT IS a miniature scene–like belongs just outside in the garden of a doll house! You just bring tears to my eyeballs Kittie. Keep ’em coming. I have boxes and boxes of tissue.
This is so cute
hugs Linda
Simply fabulous, Kittie! I love the whole composition. A breath of Spring.
So lovely…
Wow….yet another awesome, beautiful Spring scene. I have everything but the lovely tree die. Perhaps I can make my own and CASE. A lot of time went into this little masterpiece…all those tiny flowers. I just got my new grass die. I have 4 different kinds now…guess a girl can’t have too much grass.. as long as there are no weeds attached…haha
This is fabulous. I especially love the shading on the pots.
Such a beautiful scene. I love how you used the pots and garden tools. And your Copic coloring is very effective. Thanks for all your inspiration!
Good Morning, Kittie, what a gorgeous spring yard. You did a super job with the textures, and colors. Your copic looks super to me. Love those flowers, and flower pot, and those tools for gardening. Just a gorgeous spring scene.
Most of the dies are out of stock here, grrrrr. will have them on my wish list. ….have a good week-end, an a blessed Sunday.
