Good Sunday morning. I have another of Susan Tierney Cockburn’s beautiful embossing folders to share with you today. I love floral and garden themed projects and the Wheelbarrow and Watering Can set are right up my alley.
I embossed and attached the watering can layer to the card base. I stamped and cut the sentiment layer and popped it up on the card base with mounting tape to add dimension.
I sponged yellow on the petals, formed the petals and leaves using the tools in the accessory tool kit and assembled the mini daisy. I wanted the card to be all green and white with the exception of the sponged yellow petals so I punched out several 1/8” green circles and formed them with my mini stylus to create seed pods. I punched a 1/4” circle, rounded it in the center and attached it to the flower center with a rolled up and rounded 3/8” glue dot to create a mound for the seed pods. I applied glossy accents to the center and set the tiny pods in place by picking them up with the point of my paper piercer.
I cut the leafy branch 2 apart and attached to the sentiment layer to create a floral spray background. I attached the flower and finished by adding the leaves from the mini daisy set. Here are a couple closer views.
I love the embossed watering can and topiary images and how the vine goes all around the border.
Thank you for all the supportive comments regarding my projects using Susan’s new line of flower dies, and embossing folders. You can find her wonderful step by step instructional videos for each flower at Ellen’s. She shows how simple and easy it is to create such realistic flowers.
Have a wonderful Sunday. I appreciate you stopping by.
