Good Sunday morning. My project today combines several different dies to create a cheery framed tree and birdhouse scene. I have created several similar scenes using the Orchard Tree Frame and I always have so much fun with it. Olive and red are one of my favorite color combinations for floral and holiday projects.
I thought I would take a few step by step photos of how I cut the grass and fence to fit in the frame and then layered on to the tree frame.
I cut the grass and then cut it to fit the tree frame using the Debutante Frame.
I repeated the same step for the Picket Fence.
I applied ATG adhesive to the back of the frame and then attached the grass.
I applied ATG adhesive to the back of the grass and attached the fence.
I sponged clouds on to the plain white debutante frame layer to create a soft background for the scene.
I cut red flowers using the Flower Mound die, formed the flowers with my tiny tipped stylus and attached to the branches using glossy accents.
I applied small pieces of mounting tape to the back of the tree frame and then attached it to the cloud background layer. This is a bit of a tedious task but well worth the effort because it creates dimension. Here are a couple photos to show the dimension.
When I got the scene attached to the card base I felt it looked a little plain along the fence line so I tucked pieces of the grass border in behind the front grass. It was a little hard to do and I sure wish I had thought of inserting it before I attached the fence to the back. LOL!
I added touches of foliage and tiny flowers to the birdhouse and finished the scene with the two red birds.
I hope you are having a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by.

I love this sweet scene. Those tiny little flowers are perfect. You can almost hear the birds chirping.
This is so special, Kitty – love the little scene you created!
Beautiful card,Love the scene, everything is so very pretty!!!
Amazing card!! I love the detail!!
Dear Kittie – your creations bring me some serious joy into my heart!!! Thank you !!♥
This is lovely Kittie. I’m sure it was a lot of hard work, but also great fun. I’ve recently started using Pinflair silicon free gel glue to add dimension instead of strips of foam. It’s easier for frames as you can just drizzle some all around.
Thanks for the tips, it makes it look so much more neater 🙂 Love your scene!
Beautiful card!
