Susan’s Garden Fairy

Good Saturday afternoon.  I have a fun project to share with you today using Susan Tierney- Cockburn’s Garden Fairy BigZ XL, Garden Fairies Framelits and Stamps, Garden Fairy Accessories Framelits and Stamps and Black-Eyed Susan.

I cut all the pieces using craft-a-board and again using designer paper. I stamped the fairy on watercolor paper using black versafine and watercolored using distress reinkers and a waterbrush.

I attached the designer paper pieces to the craft-a-board pieces with glossy accents and attached the the head with ATG adhesive. I assembled the pieces and attached them all together with brads.

I cut several flower sections to use as the skirt for the fairy. I cut them in half and formed them using the stylus and molding pad.  I attached the flowers to the fairy and added layers up to the waist.  I attached the formed seed pods at the waist to create the center of the flower.  KC Sizzix Garden Fairy 1 left

I added leaves and tiny flowers to the neck, boots and wrists for the final finishing touch.

I couldn’t resist adding a close up view of the fairy’s face because I think she is so pretty.

  4. Hi Kittie,
I LOVE it!!! When I started crafting a million years ago I used to make paper dolls just like this. I had to make the pieces and face my self – but I still have the first one I made.
    Wonderful papers, flowers and painting.
It brought me very happy memories :o)
Of course yours is first class – not so mine.

  5. Takes me back to the “old days” when we used to have those little printed books that had the dolls and doll clothes with the little tabs on them, that you could cut out and dress up. You have created a true work of art with this creation Kittie.
