Good Monday morning! My project today takes me back to my childhood. I remember loving the little conversation candy hearts, not because they tasted so great but just because they were so cute and fun. Did you make your own Valentine’s Day cards when you were in school? Did everyone in your class decorate a shoe box with the little slit in the top of the lid so everyone could slip their tiny cards inside. How many notes did you get passed to you in school with the message “I like you…do you like me?” Yes or No LOL!
I used the new Impression Obsession Conversation Hearts and Conversation Heart Block die to create all those precious hearts. This stamp and die would be perfect to have if you have young children or grandchildren. They could create all kinds of fun projects for Valentine’s day. IO made the stamped image and die so easy to work with. All the sentiments are on one stamp and there is a box around it that guides where to place the die.
I love my new magnetic platform. I placed the stamped image on the platform, placed the die directly over the image and cut. The die was held perfectly in place with no tape. Woo Hoo!
Here’s the final cut out hearts.
I cut the Double Heart Edger and attached to the back of the piece for the hearts. I used a ruler to mark off the spots to place the heart so I could get them straight. Well….it sort of worked out. LOL! Even with the marked spots I got them a little crooked. I attached them with small squares of mounting tape to add dimension to the clean and simple card design.
I attached the heart layer to the base with mounting tape. The Love You sentiment from the Spring Medley set was stamped with regal rose.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great week.
Card size: 5.5” x 4.25”
Oh this card is so cute and the conversation hearts look so real!! The slightly off kilter sentiments make them look even more authentic…because they are NEVER printed straight on the real candies1
So adorable Kittie. Sure does bring back a lot of old memories for sure. I love
how you used the Pink heart border next to the candy hearts so pretty.

Good Morning, Kittie, yes I too remember the Valentine boxes at school. I also remember you could purchase a bunch like 25 under 5.00 or make you own which was fun. sometimes a not so nice card would get in the box but mostly they were fun and joy to receive. These candy hearts were a big hit, cheap and taste good. Love your card. the heart stamp and heart die is on my next yrs Valentine list. cards made for this yr. …have a good day.
I love this card! I have never seen the magnetic platform before, but I’m going to look into getting one.
Good Tuesday Afternoon. Valentine’s Day is such an innovative time for card creators. I would use these dies and stamps to make cards for people to recall a wonderful memory from long ago. Your compilation is amazing and as always so pleasant! TFS.
Love the sweet, CAS card! Valentine’s Day is my second favorite crafting holiday (Christmas being the first..of course). I just have to have this die/stamp set. It a set that I know will get used every Vday. The candy is so tasty….still get them each year…can’t resist. LOL!
