Clothesline and Garden Fence

Good Tuesday morning.  I have another garden fence scene to share with you today with the addition of a few pieces of precious baby clothing from the Clothesline set and matching Laundry die set drying out out in the bright sunshine.  Once again I got a little carried away with flowers but I just cant seem to help myself.

I started by cutting the leafy branch twice using white cardstock and colored with brown and green Copic markers. I stamped the images on designer paper with white craft ink, embossed with white embossing powder and cut the pieces out with the matching dies. I cut two fence sections, attached them together to go across the whole card front and cut off the left over pickets. I cut a portion of the fence bottom off to make it fit well with the hanging clothes.  I cut flowers in several different colors with the Tiny Flowers and Tulip set. I colored the stems of the tulips with a green Copic marker.  I attached pink flowers to the trees and with glossy accents and attached the multi colored flowers to a full section of the grass border. I cut a few birds from the Small Bird set , Clouds and the sun from the Sun and Moon set. Whew!  It was finally time to start assembling the scene.

I attached the fence to the card base with mounting tape and tucked the trees in behind the fence.  I attached the grass and flowers to the base of the fence with mounting tape. I popped the clouds and sun up in the sky area with mounting tape.  I attached the tiny clothes pins to the little clothes pieces with glossy accents and then applied the clothing to the clothesline with glossy accents.  I attached the string to the trees with glossy accents and then secured the clothes in place with small pieces of mounting tape. I added a few birds to the scene for the perfect finishing touch. This is a really busy project but I think it is so cute.

  6. Kittie, this card is jaw dropping amazingly gorgeous!!! I love it! If I were a new mom and received this card, I would want to frame it in a shadow box frame and hang it in the baby`s nursery. I don`t think you overdid the flowers at all, it reminds me of spring days and hanging clean clothes on the line in the backyard. I enjoy hanging clothes on the line and checking on the flowers and enjoying the birds. The little blue birds are the perfect accent. This card tells a story, the sun is peeking behind a fluffy white cloud, the pretty outfits are drying. I think this is a very happy Mommy! Thank you for sharing this amazing, inspiring art card today.
