Good Friday morning. My project today was made for the Splitcoaststampers Ways to Use It challenge to use buttons somewhere on our card. Here’s what I came up with.
I had the watering can already painted from a previous project so all I had to do was add the button flower stems. I attached the fence to the card base with mounting tape and attached the grass with ATG adhesive. I tucked the watering can in behind the grass and attached with rolled up glue dots.
I attached the sun and clouds in the sky with mounting tape and finished by adding the birds and attaching with glossy accents.
You can see a step by step tutorial on how I added rust to my watering can here.
I am so glad it’s Friday. I can hardly wait for the weekend. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day and weekend.

Darling card! Love the die cut scene and the cute little button flowers. I didn’t make my card yet but I made the flowers, which are die-cut w/button centers. 🙂

Good Morning, Kittie. an absolutely gorgeous way to use buttons. I really like them as flowers. Love the bright sun and those adorable birds. Gorgeous spring.
Love the buttons, what a great idea. Now if only this “Spring” idea will come true for those of us suffering through a long winter.
I’ve not been a “button” gal in the past, but this is absolutely adorable. I need to rethink my opinion of using buttons on my cards! Thanks for always expanding my creative views.
Fantastic card. It’s such a “happy” card. We actually have sunny weather right now, but it’s still a bit chilly. Your card looks much warmer. 🙂
just darling and love the buttons they are the perfect size!!
This may be one that I need to CASE. I seem to have some dies that will substitute nicely. Now if only I could take my crafting supplies on our cruise!
