Impression Obsession Design Team “Green” Challenge

Good Thursday morning and welcome to the Impression Obsession Design Team challenge. My project today was made using the Spiral Daisy, Spiral Flowers, Branch die and Circle Shaker Frames set.

I had to pause a bit before deciding how I wanted to use green in a prominent way for my project.  I decided to pair the pretty green foliage and circle frame with an all white background and pure white flowers. I think the green looks so crisp against the white.

I started by cutting the green frame and attached it to the card base with mounting tape.  I three sections of the branch, scored the veins on the leaves with my leaf tool and leaf pad, curled and formed the leaves with my fingers and attached to the frame with glossy accents

I cut the spiral daisy three times to create the large flower.  Before forming the flowers, using my small stylus and molding pad I pushed down on the back of each petal to curl them backwards.  I rolled the first daisy tightly around my tweezers and attached closed with glossy accents.  The second one was rolled more loosely around the tweezers, released and attached leaving an open circle in the center and creating a larger graduated layers of petals. I attached the smallest flower inside the second with glossy accents. The third was loosely rolled around my fingers in a circle creating an even larger layer of petals and was attached on the bottom of the first two.  The flower measures 1 3/4”  across.  Yikes.  That was hard to explain!  I hope it made sense.  I should have taken pictures of the three layers but didn’t think of it while I was making it. The two smaller spiral flowers were made using only one layer.

  4. Even though the flowers on your card are daisies, the colors used remind me of my white gardenias with their gorgeous intense green leaves. Also, the smaller flowers are reminding me of our orange groves in bloom . .. . I love the fragrance of those fabulous blooms! What a beautiful card Kittie! You’ve enabled me to place an order for Memory Box and Impression Obsession dies! Have a great one Sweetie!
