Wildflower Corner

Good Monday morning.  My project today was made using the new Memory Box Wildflower Corner paired with the Petal Party, Impression Obsession Tiny Flowers and the Martha Stewart Deco Shells Punch Around the Page set.

I punched out the Deco Shell layer and attached it to the pink layer with mounting tape.  I attached the pink layer to the card base with mounting tape to add one more level of dimension and interest to the card layout.

The corner die is really beautiful and delicate and would be very pretty used by itself but I just couldn’t resist filling in the open petal flowers with the delicate pink flowers. I've shown the die below so you can see the open design.

I cut the corner die twice and several pairs of the flowers and formed them with my stylus and molding pad. I assembled the flowers using glossy accents and then attached them to the corner die with glossy accents. I added all the tiny flowers to the flower centers and around the foliage areas of the die.KC Memory Box Wildflower Corner 1 center

I attached small squares of mounting tape to the back of the six large flowers and attached both of the sections to the card base.  I didn’t need to add any adhesive or glue dots to the smaller sections of foliage as they stay perfectly in place.  I think they look more natural being free.  Here’s a closer view from the side to show the dimension of the project.

I didn’t notice until I started taking the pictures that the flowers are line up like soldiers in two straight lines albeit on an angle.  LOL!

  1. Beautiful card, Kittie! I have a question about the Nesting paper punch that you have listed as been used. How did you use it? I’ve never heard of this punch before, so I need to be educated about it’s use and effectiveness. Thank you.

  2. Janey, The nesting paper punch is simply a 1/8″ circle punch. It is a lever style punch instead of the hand held punch. I used the tiny 1/8″ cirles as the tinest flowers on the project. I formed the circles with a tiny tipped stylus and molding pad to creae a tiny bloom. I sure hope this helps.
