Layers of Eyelet Borders

Good Tuesday morning.  My project today was made for the Splitcoaststampers Technique Lovers Challenge to use multiple border layers on our card. I had three little Memory Box Botanical Frame flowers in my stash from a previous project and decided to use them along with the Impression Obsession Border Duo 1 eyelet border and the Poppystamps Lorelai Leaf foliage. I love making projects with white eyelet and pairing it with either pink or lavender.  Both are such soft colors and are perfectly feminine paired with the eyelet.

I cut strips of white cardstock and placed them on my magnetic platform.  I lined the die up evenly with the magnet holding it in place and cut.  I wanted all the scallops to line up perfectly one over the other. I attached the layers with ATG adhesive on the top edge and with thin strips of mounting tape along the scalloped edge.  I wanted them to stand away from each other a little for dimension and interest.

The flowers and foliage were cut and formed with my stylus and molding pad.  I attached the foliage and the flowers to the card base with glossy accents and finished by adding the tiny white pearls to each flower center.  I think it adds one more feminine element to the card.

The new Bazzill lavender (sour grape) color has become one of my all time favorites.  You are going to see another project this week with the exact same color combination.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day.

  3. Pure gorgeousness Kittie! I have a pair of shorts that are a tad bit lighter in color than the grape and a tank top that is the color of your leaves, I pair the two together for an adorable summer outfit, the colors are smashing together, so gorgeous on your card!
