Red, White and Blue Nautical

Good Tuesday morning.  I have a fun clean and simple nautical themed card to share with you today using the Impression Obsession Mini Nautical Set , Sailboats set and Alphabet Plain Upper Case and Lower Case.  These images are so cute and I thought they would be perfect cut in red and layered over crisp white and navy squares.

I started by creating the thin outline frame for the outer area of the card front and attached it to the base with thin strips of mounting tape. I cut the six square layers in both white and blue, attached them together with mounting tape and then attached them to the card base with ATG adhesive.

I attached the images to the squares with thin strips of mounting tape to pop them up for one more layer of dimension.  I attached the letters to the square using Crafter’s Pick glue because I knew it would be invisible when it dried.  I held each letter with my tweezers, lightly tapped the back of the letters lightly in the glue to gather just a touch and then secured in place.

This was a fun and fast project to make.  It’s not my norm but I had this vision in my head and had to get on a card front.

  5. This card is so perfect for a male, I have learned boys/men are the most difficult to make really interesting. You hit it out of the park with this one. TFS.

  6. Hi Julie, the card size is 5.50″ x 4.25″. I have that listed down at the bottom of my post. I don’t exactly what size the squares are but I think about one inch. I don’t have the card anymore so I can’t measure. I hope this helps. Sorry I didn’t get to meet you. I had a great time and met so many wonderful people.
