Heart Stems Valentine Bouquet

Good Thursday morning.  My Valentine project today was made using the Impression Obsession Heart Stems, Paper Cone, Leafy Branch, Rectangle 6-in-1 Frames and Flags. The sentiment is from Warm Fuzzies Sentiment Set.

I cut two sets of the heart stems in green and then cut the top portion of hearts again twice in red. I trimmed the hearts of the green stems a little to make it easy to line up and attach the red hearts.  I cut the red hearts off and attached them to the head of the green stems with glossy accents.  I colored the hearts with red Wink of Stella to add some sparkle. I cut several leafy branch stems and the paper cone.  I folded the cone sides together and attached them closed with 1/2” double stick tape.  I attached the red frame to the white card base with rolled up 1/2” double stick tape.

I cut the leafy branches apart and arranged them inside the cone attaching with glossy accents.  I then cut off some of each of the heart stems, applied glossy accents and tucked into the foliage and attached.  I ended up cutting a few extra hearts and added to the bouquet to fill in attaching to the branches with glossy accents.  I finished the cone with a red multi loop bow and attached with glue dots. I attached the cone to the inside of the frame on the card base with glossy accents.  I think the paper cone may have shown up better if I had made it in red. I finished by stamping the sentiment on the small flag with versa, embossing with gold embossing powder and attaching it under the bow with glue dots.

  4. I love your card…and I envy your floral arranging talents….always so perfect. The bow is beautiful…so glad to see ribbon being used, too. I love ribbons, especially poofy bows. Great sentiment….the font is so pretty. I mostly use small, concise sentiments so this is right up my alley.
