Good Tuesday morning. I have a clean and simple springy bird card to share with you today. I had the white decorative layer cut on my desk from from the weekend and decided no matter what I was going to use it for something. I finally decided to cut a frame out of it and use it to frame the bird and branch image. I guess the eyelet and the bird are sort of a miss match but I still like the way it turned out.
I colored the bird, branch and leaves with various Copic markers. I’m not sure I have ever seen a bird quite the color of this one but it is what it is. LOL! After getting the whole image colored I had a hard time figuring out what color paper to frame it with. I finally decided on this blue and if you put a gun to my head I can’t tell you the brand or color. I think Stampin’ Up! but I’ve had it so long I’m not sure. I formed several small yellow flower and attached to the branches with glossy accents.
I assembled the double matted frame, attached a piece of white cardstock on the back with mounting tape and attached the whole thing to the card base. I attached the bird in the scene with mounting tape. I like the yellow flowers in contrast with the blue and green of the bird.
I appreciate you coming by and I hope you have a wonderful day.
Card size: 5.50” x 4.25”
