Vase of Rolled Spiral Flowers

Good Sunday morning.  Today’s project is another that I made for the Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge.  My flower arrangement was inspired by gorgeous yellowish orange  roses found in the Wall Mounted Vases at Pottery Barn.  My roses were made using the Impression Obsession new Spiral Flowers Large set and paired with the Vase Set, Leafy Branch and the Rectangle 6-in-1 Frames.

I sponged the outer petals of each flower with wild honey ink and a mini applicator before rolling and assembling with my tweezers. I secured the rolled flowers in place using glossy accents. I cut three leafy branches and cut them apart to create the foliage for the arrangement.  I started attaching the shorter pieces of foliage to the vase with glossy accents first and continued by attaching the taller pieces of foliage until it formed a fairly loose V shape.

I attached the frames to the card base with thin strips of mounting tape.  I attached the vase to the frames and card base with mounting tape.  The flowers were attached to the foliage with glossy accents and then adhered in place from the back of each flower with a rolled glue dot to hold it in place.

I thought the little green bow was the perfect finishing touch to add one more touch of green with all of that yellow.

Here’s a picture of the inspiration piece.

  1. Kittie, this is such a cheery card…. I love the bright color… And I think it could be on a wall in a frame, not in the mail…. lol. Thank you for sharing your wonderful creativity with us…..

  3. I have spent the last couple of weeks sitting at my craft table moaning that my crafting creativity is at zero (been filling my time organising my supplies). While having a coffee at work I saw your cards on Feedly, now I feel so inspired – busy thinking of ways to leave work early (that’s creative too) and start making some cards. I love your framing techniques.
