Cheerful Birdie Hello

Good Sunday morning.  I hope you are enjoying your weekend.  Last week was a crazy work week and I was not able to post for several days. I was happy to get to my craft desk yesterday and get my hands on some paper and dies. My project today is a cheerful, fast and easy, clean and simple card made with the Impression Obsession Large Bird on Branch paired with the Hello sentiment. The scalloped layer was made using the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Rectangle Stackables and the frame was made using the My Favorite Things Stitched Rectangle Scallop Frames.

The scalloped layer and frame was attached to the card  base using thin strips of mounting tape. The bird and branch were attached inside the frame with mounting tape on the bird and a few key places on the branch and leaves.

I rolled up strips of double stick tape, applied it to the back of the sentiment and attached inside the frame.

Lay a strip of double stick tape out on a clean, hard surface, remove the paper backing and use your finger to push it into a thin roll and work your way down the whole length of the tape and apply it to the back of the sentiment.  Hint:  This technique will work with the wider sizes of double stick tape if you want a thicker strip of tape.

In case you are interested Impression Obsession has a  Hello Clear Stamp Set that coordinates with the Hello die sentiment.  I linked it below even though I didn’t have enough room to use it for my project today. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great Sunday.

Card size:  5.50” X 4.25”

  3. Always delighted to see Kittie Kraft show up in my email list, this gem is perfect for today! I’ve always wondered what the “rolled tape” was that you use in your beautiful scenes and this Visual Aid certainly fills the bill. No more foam nightmares for me! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
As a PS, that IO bird branch die is still on my desk, left over from the Parents Day card drive. Karma, Fate, call it what you will but that baby will be flying again this afternoon! Thanks for the inspiration (again).
