Good Saturday morning. My card today was made for the Splitcoaststampers Free For All Challenge to use a frame. I recently received the Taylored Expressions Garden Party Embossing Folder from Ellen’s and I thought it would be so pretty used as a frame. I had the three vanilla roses on my desk made using the Impression Obsession Spiral Flowers Large that I made for a project last week but didn’t use and decided to create a floral spray with them. The foliage was made using the Impression Obsession Leaf Cluster and My Favorite Things Leafy Greenery. The frame opening was made using a die from the Nesting Card Templates.
I started by cutting a piece of cardstock just a tad smaller than the card base and cutting the frame opening in it. It was necessary to cut the frame before embossing. If I had embossed first the embossed design would be flattened when running it through the Big Shot to cut the frame. Ask me how I know that. LOL!
The three flowers were made of vanilla cardstock and I never use vanilla and white together. To solved the problem I sponged Festive Berry ink on the petals using a mini applicator. I attached on of the larger leaves from the Leaf Cluster set to the back of each rose and then attached them to the card base using glossy accents. I cut all of the foliage from the Leafy Greenery set down to smaller pieces and then tucked them in around the rose cluster and attached with glossy accents.

I really like the way roses came out with the vanilla CS and the color on the tips with the white…You will have to do it again….love the contrast…and they look real….well done….but of course…
