Vintage Christmas Wishes & Ellen Hutson Labor Day Sale

Good Saturday afternoon.  My project today was made using the new Hero Arts Vintage Christmas Wishes Stamp Set and Vintage Wishes Frame Cuts paired with the Impression Obsession Cardinals.  For some reason I was drawn to making this a black and white card using the trees and snowman.  When I was finished I decided it needed a few touches of red so I added the cardinals. I can’t wait to play with this set again to create a colorful snowy holiday scene.

The trees and snowman were stamped using black versafine and embossed with clear embossing powder. The snowman was cutout using the coordinating die.  I hand cut a ground snow section and attached in front of the trees using ATG adhesive. The tree scene layer was attached to the black layer with mounting tape.  I attached the crimped black cardstock on both sides of the card base and then attached the snow scene with mounting tape.

The snowman was attached to the card base using mounting tape.  The cardinals were attached to the scene base using small pieces of mounting tape.

  1. Kittie, this is beautiful. I never would have thought to make a Christmas card in black & white, until now…lol. The little spots of red from the birds truly makes it pop. I absolutely love this card… Thank you for sharing your creativity……
