Good Thursday morning and welcome to the Impression Obsession “Fall Birthdays” design team challenge. My project today was made using the Good Wishes Word Block and Small Leaf Set. The scalloped layer was made using the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Rectangle Stackables.
I started by cutting two sets of the leaves and coloring them using mini applicators and Peeled Paint, Fired Brick and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks. I applied Versa to each leaf and embossed with clear embossing powder. Once the leaves were cool I lightly formed them with the large stylus from Susan’s Garden Tool Kit and molding pad. Check out the Leaves with Distress Ink tutorial to see step by step pictures of how I color my leaves.
I attached the scalloped layer to the card base with mounting tape. Thin pieces of mounting tape were then applied to the back of the word block frame and and a few key letters and then attached to the card base. The leaves were arranged and attached to the frame using glossy accents.
Why don’t you come along and play with us. To enter the challenge go to the Impression Obsession Blog (all the details are there!). A random challenge card will be selected to showcase on the IO blog and you can enter to win a $25 gift certificate to IO just by playing! I hope you will go check out what the other IO teams members created for the challenge.
