Good Tuesday morning. My project today was made using the Waffle Flower Lacy Panel , Hero Arts Daisy Cutting Set, Impression Obsession Branch and the tiny flowers from the Elizabeth Craft Sunflower set. . I love this new lacy die and wanted to show it off using my favorite spring time color combination of purple, green and white. I chose to use only one single flower with a few leaves so I wouldn't cover up to much of the panel.
Since the lacy die is so intricate I used my metal adapter plate when cutting the panel. I also used a piece of waxed paper between the die and cardstock to keep the paper perfectly white. Do you ever have issues with dies leaving dirty marks on your cardstock? Waxed paper provides the perfect protection and also aides in the removal of the cardstock from some of the more intricate dies. I applied strip of mounting tape to the back of the panel and attached it to the card base.
I cut one large and two small flowers. I placed each flower face down on my molding pad and formed the petals using the smaller round end of my stylus from the Garden Tool Kit. I turned each flower face up and and pushed gently down in the center to pull the petals up. I formed the small center circle piece of the flower to create a slight dome and attached it in the center of the flower with a small piece of mounting tape. I used a tiny tipped stylus to form the tiny flowers from the sunflower set and attached them all around the center dome using glossy accents. I cut two sections of the branch die and cut the leaves apart and attached them to the card base with glossy accents. I attached the flower in place place with glossy accents to finish.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great day.
