Good Saturday afternoon. Before I start talking about my project I thought I would draw your attention to the Ellen Hutson Breast Cancer Research Foundation fund raising event and the Essentials by Ellen Courage Stamp and Die Set. I still had my set on my desk and thought I would make an “any occasion floral spray” card with it today. I used bright green and pink so it would really pop off of the white frame and background. The frames were made using the Impression Obsession Rectangle 6-in-1 Frames.
I cut all the flowers using bright pink cardstock and the foliage using bright green cardstock first and then lined the stamps up over each piece and stamped. I used my new Impression Obsession Chartreuse ink for the foliage and Ruby ink for the flowers. I formed the flowers using my stylus and molding pad and gently formed the foliage with my fingers. I punched out tiny flowers using my Fiskars 1/4” Flower Punch, formed them with my stylus and molding pad and attached them in the center of the larger flower using glossy accents.
The frames were attached to the card base using thin strips of mounting tape. I attached the largest pieces of foliage using glossy accents to create the foliage base. Next I attached the flowers using glossy accents. I finished by tucking smaller pieces of foliage in between the flowers and attaching with glossy accents.
We send a package with two or three cards to my mother-in-law every week. She’s living in a nursing facility and hangs my cards all around her room to enjoy, This is so bright and pretty and pretty and I know my husband will take to add to the next batch.
I hope you are having a good Saturday and I sure do appreciate you stopping by.
