My project was made using the Lighthouse Circle, Crab and Salt Life.  The Lighthouse Circle is such a fun die to play with.  I loved the version Jeanne did for Monday’s hop.  see below They say that great minds run on the same track.  LOL!  Well…Jeanne and I have shown how totally opposite styles and themes can be made using the same dies.

I cut the lighthouse circle in blue and then the top portion of the lighthouse in red.  I attached the red pieces in place on the top of the lighthouse with glossy accents. I love the nautical feel of the red, white and blue.  I wanted the salt life sentiment to fit up in the framed opening so I cut the star out of the middle and attached the two words with tiny strips of mounting tape.   I cut two additional stars and used them to embellish the frame. I added the big crab to bring one more element of red to the project.  I applied some sparkly shimmer to the red stars, sentiment and crab with a sparkle pen to finish.  My red, white and blue creates a bold masculine theme and Jeanne’s soft watercolor blues creates a soft and tranquil theme.

  13. Very cool, big & bold with the blue & red! I love it! Esp. since I don’t practice coloring much to do Jeanne’s beautiful style. 😉 I like how you did the words, separating them and inside the die image. Great touch of sparkle on the starfish & crab. Thanks for the link to your hollyhocks project. I have that die but have yet to use it!
