Framed Sugared Poinsettia and Holly

Good Monday afternoon.  I’ve had painters here all day today so I am posting late again.  I recently purchased the Taylored Expressions Ornate Frame Cutting Plate and couldn’t wait to use it with a flower project.  I’m mostly making Christmas cards right now so I pulled out my Impression Obsession Large Poinsettia Set and Small Poinsettia Set and Holly Flourish.

I cut the frames and attached them to the card base using mounting tape.  I cut all the flower sections and holly using white cardstock and colored them using Distress Inks and mini applicators.  The flower was colored using Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Fired Brick. The foliage was colored using Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint.  I formed the flowers and foliage using my stylus and molding pat and attached the sections together using glossy accents.I applied Cosmic Glitter Glue to the petals, leaves and holly with my finger (it’s messy but worth it) and dipped them in the Rock Candy glitter.  I finished the flower with a tiny white pearl in the center.

I attached the flower and foliage to the card base using glossy accents and then tucked the pieces of holly under the flower and attached with glossy accents. I love the white ornate frame and background and how it allows the floral arrange pop.  I wish the sparkle on the flower showed better in the photo.  It is wonderful in person.

LOVE, LOVE LOVE it Kittie..Beautiful, and simple..I love it..In fact I needed some easier cards to make this yr, (Health Issues and not enough time this yr) plus we had our first snow storm today here in CO…gone are the FALL trees… 🙁 FALL is never long enough for me, but this yr the snow flew early…THANK you for always inspiring me and others to create!
