Tags, Tags and More Tags

Good Saturday morning.  I almost let the holiday season get by me without making my fun Christmas tags.  The tags were all made with the largest die in the Impression Obsession Christmas Tags set. I wanted to have as much space as possible to build my little mini scenes.  I browsed through all my Impression Obsession Christmas sets looking for images sized well to work on such a tiny base.  I always try to keep an open mind when looking for images.  For example the deer and birch trees were cut out of the round Deer Snowglobe die.  The circle was cut away, three trees and deer were cut apart.  The trees on the snowman tag were cut out from the Sleigh Scene.  The were the perfect size to fill space behind the snowman.  Well….anyway I just thought I would encourage you to see how many ways you can use the products you already have. 

The deer tag was made using the Impression Obsession Christmas Tags, Deer Snowglobe set, Snowfall and Fir Sprigs with little 1/16” punched circles for embellishment.   I cut the Merry Christmas tag out in white and the bottom portion again in red.  I also cut a tag out of the Snowfall to create a falling snow background for the tag.  I cut one additional white tag that I used  my deckle scissors to cut the three ground snow sections for the tags.  Have I told you how much I love deckle scissors??? I attached the snowfall piece over the white tag background with glossy accents and then attached the Sentiment portion of the red tag to the bottom using double stick tape.   I used Pumice Stone  ink and a mini applicator to lightly color the birch trees from the Snowglobe.  I attached the trees to the base of the tag using rolled up glue dots.  I thought I added enough color to the trees but they doesn’t really show well in the photos.  The trees also cover up the snowfall background.  Oh well…win some lose some!  I colored the deer using Antique Linen and Vintage Photo ink and a mini applicator.  I love that he is a scaled down version of the largest deer from the Impression Obsession Deer Trio.  I attached the ground snow to the bottom of the scene with a piece of mounting tape.  I attached the deer to the tag base with mounting tape.  I finished by tucking several pieces of fir sprigs with tiny red berries in behind the ground snow and attached with glossy accents.

This house tag was made using the Impression Obsession Christmas Tags, Town Builder set, Snowfall,  Peace Frame, Wreath Builder, Fir Sprigs and Sun and Moon. I love this little blue Christmas house with the gold sparkly windows.  I almost wish now that I had put the gold star in the sky to draw the eye up instead of on the tree.   I attached the ground snow section to the bottom of the scene layer with mounting tape.  I cut the house out in blue and again in white.  I hand cut the roof section off the white house and attached to the roof of the blue house with glossy accents. I cut a small piece of yellow cardstock and applied yellow stickles to create sparkle, allowed it to dry and attached to the back of the house using glossy accents.  I attached tiny holly leaves and red 1/16” berries to the roof with glossy accents .  I attached the tiny gold star to the top of the tree with glossy accents. The house and tree  were attached in behind the ground snow using mounting tape.  I finished by tucking tiny fir sprigs with red berries in behind the ground snow to add one more element of red to the scene.  I would love to spend a week in the sweet snowy setting.

The snowman tag was made using the Impression Obsession Christmas Tags, Christmas Icons,  Sleigh Scene, Wreath Builder and  Snowfall.  I once again attached the Snowfall layer to the tag base with glossy accents.  I attached the red sentiment to the back of the tag using double stick tape. The ground snow was attached using mounting tape.  The carrot nose was hand cut and attached with glossy accents. I attached premade tiny black dots of Nuvo Crystal Drops to the snowman eyes and body with glossy accents.  I have a small craft sheet that I filled with several colors of Nuvo Crystal Drops to have on hand.  The product takes a little while to dry and I am never great at applying them directly on my project.  LOL!  I’m always afraid I’m going to mess up. The tiny pearl shaped premade drops are perfect, slide right off the craft sheet with the touch of my paper piercer and are easy to apply when needed.  I hand cut a little black top hat and decorated it with with holly and tiny red berries.  I colored the snowman arms with a brown copic marker.  I cut a thin piece of colorful ribbon to use as a scarf and attached to the snowman using glue dots.  The trees were tucked in behind the ground snow and attached with mounting tape.  The snowman was attached in place with mounting tape.   I love making snowman projects for holiday cards and tags.

I love, love, love making Christmas tags each year.  I thought I would share several batches of ones made in years past.  You can never have enough tags.  LOL!
