It is so much fun for me to make cards using a spring scene with bunny and flower die cuts. They make a perfect card theme for Easter or a child’s birthday. My scene card today was made using Rubbernecker Stamps Rectangle Combo #2, Tree Panel #2, Bunnies Die, Birds Die, Mini Flower Stack Die and Small Leaf Group Die. Check out the special “discounted” die bundles at the bottom of my post.
Cutting Images and Coloring Bunnies
I started my scene by creating the cloudy blue background using a cloud template, ink blending tool and Tumbled Glass ink. The cloud layer was attached to the card base using ATG adhesive. Next, I cut the bunnies and colored them using mini applicators, Antique Linen and Vintage Photo ink. Check out my Coloring Die Cut Animals tutorial if you would like to see a few step by steps pictures of how I colored the bunnies. I cut the frame, birds, flowers, foliage and tree panel and prepared to assemble my scene.
Building my Scene
I attached the two largest frame sections together using double stick tape. Next, I applied thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and secured the tree panel frame and a thin hand cut grass section in place. I applied double stick tape to the back of the frame and tree panel and attached it to the background cloud layer on the card base.
The tiny flowers were formed using my Garden Tool Kit stylus and molding pad and were attached to the foliage using glossy accents. I tucked the foliage/flower pieces in behind the frame and attached with glossy accents. The bunnies were attached to the card base using small pieces of mounting tape. I attached the birds to the card base with rolled up glue dots. I added tiny pieces of foliage and teeny tiny flowers to the neck of each bunny for the finishing touch.
Kittie Kraft Bundles
Rubbernecker is offering a Kittie Kraft Bundle for a discounted price for the bunnies, birds and tree panel. This card bundle is a “special edition” which will be available on the site until Tuesday, February 20th. You can also find the discounted Kittie Kraft Basics bundle of scene dies that I like to use for my outdoor projects over and over. You can see the links to both bundles below.
I am so happy you came by today. I hope you have enjoyed my spring scene with bunny and flower die cuts and that you get your dies out and make a fun project of your own.
