Easter is fast approaching and I just couldn’t resist making another cute die cut duck scene card with both mama and babies surrounded with pretty flowers and decorative layered frames. My project was made using Rubbernecker 5142-02 Ducks Die, 5141D Nested Rectangle Scallop w/ Holes, 5124D Nested Oval Scallop w/ Pierce, 5004D Nested Oval, 5114D Mini Flower Stack and 5110D Small Leaf Group. Both the Mini Flowers and Small Leaf dies can be found in the Kittie Kraft Basics bundle.
Coloring the Ducks
The baby ducks were cut using Sour Lemon and cardstock and the mother ducks were cut using white cardstock. I shaded the baby duck bodies using Wild Honey ink and a mini applicator. I applied heavier layers of the ink to the mother and baby’s beaks and feet.
Assembling the Frame
The yellow scalloped layer was attached to the card base using strips of mounting tape. The scalloped frame was cut in white and then I used an oval die to cut the frame opening. I cut a second frame layer using yellow cardstock and an coordinating oval die and then attached the two frames together using double stick tape to create a double matted frame.
Attaching Grass Layers and Scene Background
I hand cut two green grass layers using my deckle scissors and attached them to the back of the frame using double stick tape. The blue background scene layer was attached to the back of the frame with thin strips of mounting tape and the the completed frame was attached to the card base using double stick tape.
Completing the Die Cut Duck Scene
I cut several sections of foliage using green cardstock and multiple flowers using pink, lavender and aqua cardstock. The flowers were formed using the small tipped stylus from my Garden Tool Kit and molding pad. I attached several pieces of foliage in the background of the scene tucking them in behind the grass using glossy accents. All the ducks were attached to the scene base and using pieces of mounting tape. I tucked in more pieces of foliage around the ducks to fill in the scene. I finished by attaching the tiny flowers to the foliage using glossy accents.
I want to thank all of you who left comments yesterday regarding my Bird House Video. You made me feel so encouraged to move forward to make videos of my more detailed projects. I hope you have enjoyed my project today and that you are inspired to get your dies out to create your own die cut duck scene or bunny scene for Easter.

Kittie,
I would love to have maybe a Weekly Video.
We visual folks can read the “words on a page” but when I see what you are
doing, I finally “get it.”
Working in your Mother’s Flower Shop must have been a wonderful, creative environment for you. Oh, and the fragrance of sweet flowers and humidity. Your eye for design is a natural gift. I feel blessed to know that you are sharing your talents with us.
Thank you ever so much.
