I have a bright pink and black die cut butterfly card to share with you today made using the Rubbernecker 3020 Butterflies Are Free Stamp Set3020 Butterflies Are Free Stamp Set, 3020D Butterflies Are Free Die Set, 947-01B 2 Part Butterfly # 2 Die, 5019D Nested Rounded Corner Rectangle w/ Pierce Die and 5028 Nested Rectangle Scallop Die. Are you getting tired of my butterfly cards yet? I just can’t seem to help myself. I love the delicate decorative butterfly layers.
Assembling the Pink and Black Die Cut Butterfly
The butterfly was stamped on retired Stampin’ Up! Regal Rose cardstock with black versafine ink and heat embossed using clear super fine embossing powder. I secured the coordinating die over the stamped image using Eclipse tape and cut using my Big Shot. I cut the larger butterfly using black cardstock and attached the two butterflies together using mounting tape.
Assembling the Frame and Scalloped Layer
I used several of the dies from the nested round corner rectangle set to create the frame layers. The black background layer was attached to the white card base using ATG adhesive. I attached the white and pink frame layers together using mounting tape. The sentiment was stamped on a white cardstock using black versafine and I heat embossed it with clear super fine embossing powder. I attached the sentiment layer to the back of the double matted frame using strips of mounting tape and attached it over the black layer using ATG adhesive.
I attached the butterfly to the frame using a piece of mounting tape and finished by embellishing the butterfly body with small pre made drops of black Nuvo Crystal Drops.
Thank you for coming by today. I hope you have been inspired to get out your stamps, dies and cardstock to create your own clean and simple, pink and black die cut butterfly card.
