Good Thursday morning. My card today was made using the You are the Very Best sentiment from the Rubbernecker Stamps Best Friends set. I rarely use sentiments as the main focal point of my card but when I do I like to embellish them with frames and flowers. I paired the sentiment with the 5019D Nested Rounded Corner Rectangle with Pierce Die, 5023D Nested Rectangle with Pierce, 5132D Rectangle Combo #2 OPC Die, 5112D Mixable Flower Stack and 5110D Small Leaf Group.
The Flowers and Foliage
I cut two sets of flowers. I formed each flower petal using my needle nose pliers, curling some edges forwards and some edges backwards to create a more natural looking flower. I attached the flower layers together using glossy accents and finished by adhering a pre made white Nuvo Crystal Drop in each with glossy accents. The foliage leaves were gently formed using my fingers.
You are the Very Best Sentiment
I secured the sentiment stamp and cardstock in my MISTI, applied black versafine ink and stamped the sentiment twice to get a perfect image. I LOVE MY MISTI! Next, I applied clear embossing powder to the sentiment and heat embossed.
Building the Layers
I had a few parts and pieces from other projects on my desk so I used them to create different frame layers. I attached the yellow pierced background layer to the white scalloped layer using ATG adhesive. Next I used rolled up double stick tape to attached the pierced frame layer. I attached the pierced rounded sentiment layer to the card base using mounting tape. I finished by arranging and attaching the foliage leaves and flowers to the corner of the sentiment layer using glossy accents.
Be sure to check out the sale going on over at Rubbernecker Stamps. The dies and stamps that I used today are all 15%.
Do you have a favorite sentient or sentiment set? I love the Best Friends set as it has such a versatile set of sentiments. I especially like the the You are the Very Best sentiment that I used today. Thanks for coming by and I hope you have a great day.

BEAUTIFUL JOB, Kittie! I LOVE the scalloped edges & layers, & the flowers! (Don’t ask me why? They make me think of a piece of CAKE! LOL No, I’m not hungry! I just had breakfast! LOL) SUPER JOB!!! 😉
Such a sunny and happy card Kittie…made me smile
Love your card and how your create all your flowers! Thanks for all you share.
Do you make your flower center dots on parchment paper to use later and how do you store them? Fascinating…
Thank you for asking Glenda. I cut small pieces of non stick craft sheet (about 5″ x 7″). I create several rows of several size drops to keep on hand for when I need them. Once they are dry I just lay the craft sheets on top of each other on a shelf. They are light and don’t hurt the sheets under them. Here is a link to a post I did for the CLASSroom that shows a sheet full of drops. http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/2017/12/12-tags-of-christmas-with-a-feminine-twist-2017-day-6-by-kittie-caracciolo-and-daniela-dobson.html
I hope this helps.
Beautiful layering and love the shaping of the flowers, so pretty and full of sunshine!
Une très belle carte fleurie. j’aime les fleurs même en papier et j’ai tendance à en mettre sur toutes les cartes. Aussi vos cartes me plaisent bien. Gros bisous ensoleillés et bon week end !
