Impression Obsession “Foodie Fun” Challenge

Welcome to the Impression Obsession  “Foodie Fun” design team challenge.  I decided to make a die cut campfire scene with the campers having fun roasting marshmallows.  I bet they have some graham crackers and chocolate bars with them as well. My project was made using the new Campfire Family, Bride and Groom Frame, Tiny 6 Petals, Grass Border, Small Grass Border, Small Birds and All-in-One Frames Rectangles 2.

The Tree and Frame

I cut the tree frame twice in green cardstock and colored the branches with brown Copic marker.  I cut the bride and groom off the frame and attached it along with the grass sections on to the back of the main frame. I applied thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and attached it to the white card base.

Coloring the Images

I colored both the camper images using several colors of Copic markers.  I applied Liquid Applique to the marshmallows and heat with my heat gun to make it puff up.  I cut two fire sections, colored them using Wild Honey and Spiced Marmalade ink and attached them together with glue dots.  I added a touch of sparkle using a Spectrum Noir sparkle pen. 

Assembling the Scene

I tucked the campers in behind the grass and attached to the card base using mounting tape.  I cut a small portion of the grass border out of the center and tucked the fire in behind it and attached with mounting tape. I formed a few tiny flowers and attached to the grass sections and finished the scene by adding a few red birds.
