Good Friday morning. I have a pretty die cut watering can flowers scene card to share with you today using several dies by Rubbernecker Stamps. I used the Watering Can, Leaf Group, Mini Flower Stack and Tiny Flower Buds to create the main focal point of the scene and paired them with the Grass and Small Butterflies. The background layers were made using the Nested Rectangle Scallop.
The Scalloped Layers and Grass
I started by cutting the rectangle layers, attached them together using double stick tape. Next I attached them to the card base using mounting tape. I cut a grass section, then cut it again using the scalloped die to create a matching scallop bottom so it would match the bottom of the scalloped card layer. I applied thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the grass, line it up over the white layer and attached.
The Watering Can and Flowers
I cut the watering can using gray cardstock and used a mini applicator and Rusty Hinge ink to apply touches of rust to a few key spots on the can. I cut a couple sections of small pink flowers and formed them using my stylus and molding pad. Since the small flowers have holes in the center I cut tiny white flowers, lightly formed them and attached them on the back of each flower with glossy accents. I like that the white shows trough the holes on the larger flowers.
I cut three sections of the Leaf Group and cut the branches apart. I began the watering can arrangement by placing the smallest branches on the back of the can using glossy accents. I worked my way back adding larger and taller branches to fill in the arrangement. Next I attached the flowers to the branches using glossy accents to complete the bouquet. I tucked the watering can in behind the grass and attached in place using mounting tape.
Completing the Die Cut Watering Can Flowers Scene
I tucked foliage branches and flowers in behind the grass and attached them in place using glossy accents. I completed the scene by adding three small butterflies for the finishing touch.
I had lots of fun making this clean and simple die cut watering can flowers scene card with the bright pink flowers and butterflies. I hope you have been inspired to pull out some of your garden dies and create a scene of your own.
