Good Saturday morning. I have a colorful die cut window and window box card to share with you today with lots of flowers, plaid drapes and butterflies. I still had a piece of the Merry and Bright paper and left over pink flowers on my desk from my Framed Tiny Paper Flowers project and thought I would use them again instead of trying to store them away. I’ve had the Rubbernecker Window w/ Double Stitch for a while and although I’ve used it several times I hadn’t used it to create a window scene card. I used dies from the Nested Rectangle Scallop set to cut my drapes and the window box. The foliage was made using the Leaf Group and the flowers were made using the Flower Buds and Tiny Flower Buds. I thought the Small Butterfly looked pretty in the scene.
The Drapes, Die Cut Window and Window Box
The window die was cut and I applied double stick tape on the back to attach the drapes to. I cut the drapes using the designer paper, crimped them with my crimper and attached them to the back of the window. I applied mounting tape to the back of the window and attached it to the card base. I cut the widow box using a scalloped die, cut the bottom portion off and attached it to the window with mounting tape.
The Flowers, Foliage and Butterflies
I cut two sections of the leaf group and cut the branch sections apart to use for foliage for the window box. I tucked the pieces of foliage in behind the window box and attached them with glossy accents. I formed the tiny flowers using my stylus and molding pad and attached them to the foliage using glossy accents. I attached a few pieces of foliage flower down over the window box and attached them along with a few flowers using glossy accents.
I cut the butterflies to match the flowers, gently bent the wings and attached them to the frame using glossy accents. I attached tiny pre made white Nuvo Crystal Drops to each butterfly with glossy accents.
I had a good time making this die cut window and window box card. You can check out my Window Card Category if you would like to see more pretty window cards. I love making them and for all seasons. Thanks so much for coming by.
