I had a fun time today creating a framed beach scene with Kittie Kits Stamps using the Beach Master by Rubbernecker Stamps. The frame was made using the 5132D Rectangle Combo #2 OPC frame.
The Sand, Water and Sky
I started by applying the sand to the scene using Antique Linen ink with a stylus and foam tip. I applied a strip of Eclipse tape across the scene to create a mask for the water line and then applied Tumbled Glass ink with a stylus and foam tip. I removed the mask and used a cloud stencil and an ink blending tool to apply Tumbled Glass ink to the sky.
The Fence and Sea Grass
I used Peeled Paint and Vintage Photo Distress markers to apply ink to the fence and sea grass stamps and stamped the images around the scene. I used one of the sand images and Vintage Photo ink to stamp texture around the sea grass and then used a mini applicator to sponge brown to the areas around the sea grass and fence. I wanted to keep the center of the sand lighter to give the impression of a path out to the ocean.
Completing the Framed Beach Scene with Kittie Kits Stamps
I applied touches of white embossing paste with my finger to create sea foam in the water and washing up on the sand. Then I sprinkled the embossing paste with clear glitter to add a touch of sparkle to the simple scene. I finished the scene by attaching the frame to the scene using strips of mounting tape.
Rubbernecker produced the Kittie Kits ” Cause a Scene” Beach Master set back in 2008 and I had such a wonderful time playing with the images. Although I mostly use dies in my crafting now I still love creating a framed beach scene with Kittie Kits stamps. You can take a look at my step by step beach scene tutorial if you would like to see how I made this scene. I hope you are enjoying your weekend and I appreciate you coming by.
