Good Monday morning. My project today is a circle framed die cut butterfly card made using the Rubbernecker Nested Circle X Stitch set, 2 Part Butterfly # 1, Flower Buds, Flower Stems and French Script Background. I’ve had the French Script Background and Nested Circle X Stitch for a while but this is my first time using them. I thought the soft blue script looked pretty as a background for the decorative butterfly and the X stitch pattern on the frame adds another element of interest.
The French Script Background and Frame
I secured the large background stamp and cardstock in my MISTI, applied the Baby Blue ink to the stamp and stamped the image. Next, I cut the stamped image layer to 4.25″ ti fit on the 4.50″ blue layer. I applied mounting tape to the back of the blue layer and attached it to the card base.
The frame was cut using the two largest frames in the set. I used my magnetic platform to secure the dies in place on the cardstock and cut. I applied thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and attached it to the script layer.
The Butterfly and Flowers
I cut the butterfly sections and attached them together using glossy accents. I formed the flower buds using my stylus and molding pad. Next, I attached pieces of the flower stems to the base of the butterfly using glossy accents. I attached several flowers to the stems in a cluster using glossy accents. The butterfly was attached to the card base using a piece of mounting tape.
I think the circle framed die cut butterfly card is so pretty and elegant. Thank you for coming by and I hope you enjoyed seeing my project and that you have a great day.

Love this pretty card. The circle with the cross-stitching, the pretty butterfly and the flowers in the middle…all make it so very pretty! Enjoy your day!
