Good Sunday morning. I have a sparkly snowy die cut bunny scene to share with you today made using dies and stamps by Rubbernecker Stamps. I thought it would be fun to use the largest die from the Nested Banner Stitch Set to create a small scene. The trees were stamped with evergreen trees from the Moose Set. I used one bunny from the Bunnies set and three birds from the the Small Birds set. I embellished the neck of the bunny using one small leaf section from the Leaf Buds set. The designer paper layer was cut using the largest dies from the Nested Rectangle Small Stitch set.
The Banner Trees and Snow Layers
I cut the banner die once and cut the bottom half of the banner a second time using white cardstock. I stamped the trees across the banner several times using both the small and large tree and Peeled Paint ink. Next I applied ink to a tree die, stamped it off once on scratch paper and then lightly stamped a second tree layer. I repeated this step all the way across the scene to create the feel that the trees are far in the distance. I used my deckle scissors to cut snow layers from the bottom half of the second banner. I attached the back snow layer directly to the banner using ATG adhesive. The front snow layer was attached using strips of mounting tape. I attached the banner to the card base using mounting tape.
Coloring the Bunny
The bunny was cut using white cardstock. I used Antique Linen ink and a mini applicator to apply a light layer of ink all over the bunny. Next, I applied Vintage Photo ink to the ears, back and feet portion of the bunny. Check out my Coloring Animal Die Cuts tutorial if you would like to see step by step photos of how I colored the bunny.
Assembling the Snowy Die Cut Bunny Scene
I wanted to embellish the next of the bunny with pine and red sparkly berries. I took one section of the leaf buds and cut thin slices in each leaf using my snips and attached it to the neck of the bunny with glossy accents. Next, I attached 3 1/16″ punched red circles to the foliage using glossy accents and added sparkle to them using red Stickles. I tucked the bunny in behind the snow layer and attached with a piece of mounting tape. Since the bunny appears to be looking up I attached three birds in the sky using small pieces of mounting tape to make them all look like they are interacting with each other. I felt the scene could use one more element of interest so I applied white embossing paste and clear glitter to the snow layers.
Thank you for coming by today. I hope you have enjoyed seeing my snowy die cut bunny scene card.
